Find Process Servers

Process servers are professionals who personally deliver documentation ("serve papers") to parties involved in ongoing legal proceedings, often at urgent notice, at the instruction of solicitors and local authorities. Common forms of documentation served on individuals may relate to the areas of Family Law, Divorce, Child Act, Winding Up Petitions and other legal matters.

Operating with the utmost discretion and professionalism, process servers carry out important work, facilitating and expediting communication between the legal system and private individuals. Process Servers assist with litigation support in all civil and criminal law matters. Our Scottish colleagues work within Scots Law. All our subscribers are bound by existing laws (Including “Best Practice protocols”) and statutes (Data Protection, GDPR, Codes of Practice) - working to the optimum level to ensure your complete satisfaction.

We cover every blade of grass in the UK and beyond. The Varsity advantage is that the Process Server you choose is actually situated in the area they advertise in. Documents served in England, Wales and Northern Ireland: Statutory Demand / Bankruptcy Petitions, Winding up Petitions, Non-Molestation Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders, Child Arrangements Orders, Occupation Orders, Committal Notices, Licensing Notices, Divorce Petitions, Subpoenas, Witness Summons, Applications, Possession Orders, Notices to Quit, Claim Forms, Witness Summons, N79A Suspended Committal Orders, N84 Interim Third Party Debt Orders, N39 Orders to Attend Court and Writs.

A Certificate of Service, Statement of Service or Affidavit completes the process. Check with your Varsity Process Server if the accept civil and criminal legal aid via the Legal Aid Agency. Most will give you a fixed fee (Minimum 3 visits) fixed fee arrangement. Whilst Scots Law is similar to the rest of the UK we recommend you contact a Sheriffs Officer or a Messenger at Arms if you need documents served in Scotland. They work with a similar array of serve documents but are exclusive to Scotland. The Act of Sederunt (Fees of Messengers-at-Arms and Sheriff Officers) (Amendment) 2024 sets out the current court directed fee structure
