The Association of British Investigators (ABI) is the largest UK trade association with just under 400 members.

The ABI is strict with membership recruitment and the established investigator firms tend to predominate. Membership fees are also at the top end - ABI annual membership is £276 per year.

The ABI has taken the lead in developing the GDPR Code (General Data Protection Regulation) Code of Conduct for Investigative and Litigation Support Services.
